A blog of randomness
Had a great weekend. I picked up the kids on Friday night and had them until Sunday morning. We went to the carnival at the mall Saturday from 3 pm to 9 pm. The kids had a blast. All the kids were there - Tyler, Brie Anne, Michael, Kamron, Kody, & Kyia. Tyler couldn't ride many of the rides because of his cast, so he mostly played games. Mom bought the boys the unlimited ride pass & I just bought Kyia some tickets bcuz I didn't think she would like to ride much. Boy was I wrong. I should have bought her a unlimited ride pass. She rode every ride she could like 3 times. The boys and Brie Anne wanted to go down the big slide, but Kody was too short to go by himself. I rode with him down the slide. We had a blast! We left the carnival at 5:00 to go home & get some dinner & we were back to the carnival at 6:00. Mom came over for a bit and so did Nicci & Brie Anne. Brie Anne wanted to ride one of the big rides & so did Kamron, so Nicci took both of them at separate times. Kody was too short! LOL Poor guy! We rode some more and then the last ride of the night all of them were able to go on - The Tornado. Nicci, Brie Anne, Kamron & Kody all went. I stayed with Kyia and we watched. Then we headed home. The kids feel asleep shortly thereafter.
I called the General Friday and told him I was thinking of breaking things off with Nate. He told me I was over reacting and to see how things go this week. He told me that guys don't call their girls every day. If he doesn't contact me for a week, then there's something to worry about, but a day? that isn't anything to worry about. OK, OK, calm down he tells me. If Nate is going to "break up" with me, he would have done it by now. General tells me - "You two are soul mates, you two deserve each other - don't you dare make any rash decisions without consulting me or I'll kick your ass!!!" Ok General, I won't! LMAO I was a little down & out this morning because he hadn't emailed me at all. But I didn't let it get the best of me and I continued on my way. Then about 10:20 I FINALLY get an email from him.....
Howdy Stranger-
What's up?
I haven't seen or heard from you in a while, so I thought I'd say "Hi".
How are things going for you?
Let me know that you're still alive,
Nate
It's about muthafukin' time! I told myself not to contact him, let him come to me. And he did. Proves he still wants to be with me! YAY! LMAO I am sooo glad. I guess I'll just go on knowing that he won't contact me everyday and if he doesn't that it's ok. That's what I am going to accept. Granted, I don't have to, but I am going to. I am the MISTRESS, not the WIFE, I shouldn't EXPECT to hear from him everyday! So, therefore, I will not expect to hear from him everyday. :) And I will go from there. He tried to call me, but, OF COURSE, I WAS ON THE DAMN PHONE! I emailed him and apologized for being on the phone. He said, "sure you were.......I believe it's called selective call answering." NO, IT'S NOT!! I PROMISE I WAS ON THE PHONE! "Uh-huh, ya, okay, whatever................No problem, I'll talk to you later." IF YOU CAN, CALL ME AT 5... :) I LOVE YOU! "You do? Alrighty then." DUH! OF COURSE I DO! "Oh okay. Just making sure" LMAO -- DO YOU REALLY NEED TO MAKE SURE? YOU KNOW I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!! I then sighed with relief! Things aren't as bad as I ALWAYS FUKIN' make them out to be. I just need to CHILL THE FUK OUT - as the General would say. :) Right General? Yeah, I know.
I didn't know anything about the game this weekend until I got here this morning and read about it. OMFG! Talk about a game! WOW! Lemme paste the write up that is posted and that should tell you all you need to know!!!
Madison Lionz vs. South Ogden Rhino-Raiders
SOUTH OGDEN 35 MADISON 26
OGDEN - The South Ogden Rhino-Raiders rocketed out to a 21-0 first quarter lead, a 35-7 halftime explosion, and then withheld a scrappy 2nd half comeback by the Madison Lionz to hold on for a 35-26 victory over the #4-seeded Lionz to advance to the semi-final round of the Rocky Mountain Football League playoffs.
The game was certainly a "tale of two halves" as the Rhino-Raiders dominated the first half of play and seemed well on their way of executing the usual blowout of the overmatched visiting team. Dave Stireman tossed for 152 yards and three touchdowns against no interceptions in leading the Rhino-Raiders out to the early big lead. In fact, the top-ranked Rhino-Raider offensive line, lead by Phil Sotomeyer, Eric Christiansen, Charles Kano, Travis Elliot and Carl Silva once again pitched a shutout on quarterback sacks. The Rhino-Raider offense committed no turnovers for the game with the only fumble lost coming on a kick-off return by Damon Greenberry. Tailback, Beau Etling also had a great rushing performance, rushing for 110 yards on only 13 carries; 83 of those yards coming in the first half.
Stireman (10-23-0-152-3) started the game with strong drives culminating in two touchdown passes to Norvel Young (5 receptions, 58 yards, 2 touchdowns). Then, after the ensuing kickoff pinned the Lionz deep, a botched exchange between Lionz quarterback, Troy Dougherty and slot back, Kirk Smith bounced back into the Lionz backfield. Manu Taeoalii was jonny-on-the-spot deep in the Lionz backfield and grabbed the loose ball and waltzed the final 12-yards into the end zone to put the Rhino-Raiders up commandingly, 21-0.
Then, when after the Lionz finally put a long drive together, resulting in a Troy Dougherty to Kirk Smith touchdown pass to pull to within 21-7, Damon Greenberry returned the ensuing kick-off the entire length of the field in an electrifying 100-yard kick-off return that seemed to make a statement to the Lionz, "that's what you get for scoring on us!"
With the first half clock running out and Stireman executing the 2-minute drill to perfection, he found Jamaal Peterson on a 35-yard touchdown pass to put the Rhino-Raiders up 35-7 going into the half. No one in the stadium expected that that would be the last score the Rhino-Raiders would get in the game.
With the Madison ground game, effectively "grounded" (17 rushes, 43 yards), reigning RMFL MVP Troy Dougherty (20-34-1-189-3) took to the air in the second half. Just as Dougherty and the Madison offense got hot, so too the yellow hankies of the officiating crew became abundant. Between Madison long drives and South Ogden self-destructions, the Rhino-Raiders saw little more than 7 minutes of possession time in the second half. As Madison clawed their way back in to the game with stellar defensive effort and timely passing, the Rhino-Raiders amassed a total of 129 penalty yards on 15 penalties.
After Madison had scored twice on a Dougherty to Todd Barber (5 receptions, 64 yards, touchdown) pass and Kirk Smith picking up his second touchdown on a 1-yard scamper into the corner of the end zone pulling the Lionz to within 35-20. The Lionz had driven their way inside the Rhino-Raider 20-yard line with 2:34 remaining on the clock when a Rhino-Raider made a big play. Jake Phippen blitzing in from the strong side chased Troy Dougherty down from behind as he scrambled to the left and stripped the ball loose on the sack, recovered by South Ogden.
After the Rhino's went 3 and out and punted back to the Lionz, Dougherty went to work once again and moved the Lionz back inside of the Rhino red zone. Rhino-Raider penalties and frustrations were setting in on the #1 ranked team in the nation until finally, with 16 seconds on the clock and Madison positioned on the Rhino-Raider 5-yard line, after a questionable end zone catch on a slant pass from league-leading receiver, Buck Mouser, to pull the Lionz to with one potential touchdown, the game was called by the officiating crew and ended dramatically, 35-26.
With the victory, the top-ranked Rhino-Raiders stay home for a June 26th match-up in the semi-final round with the #3 seeded, Salt Lake Nemesis. The Nemesis were the only Utah team the Rhino-Raiders did not face in the regular season. The Nemesis defeated the Helena Titans Saturday, in Helena by a score of 28-27 to advance them to the next round of the RMFL playoffs.
OMG!!! Need I say more? The Lionz soooooo could have won that game. I believe if it wasn't for the officials. WOW! Has there been a lot of talk on the news board about it! Geez! This game was right up there with the game vs. IF! WOW! OMFG! I could go on & on, but I think this blog is long enough! Right General?????
